whiskey

The word whiskey comes from the uisge beatha, which means ‘water of life' in the Scottish and Irish dialects. Whiskey is ripened by distillation of barley, wheat, rye, corn and similar grains and keeping them in oak barrels. No additional material is used in production; but caramel can be added as a colorant.
