It contains plenty of minerals (magnesium, zinc, iron, manganese, calcium, copper, sulfur, potassium) and vitamins (vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B8 and E). Dark chocolate has a high antioxidant effect because of its high content of cocoa. It protects against heart disease and cancer. It reduces stress. As it has a low glycemic index, it decreases the resistance of the insulin and thus controls the blood sugar. It is also good for dry cough especially in winter. It reduces cough-causing infection when melted and consumed warmly.
